The King Alfred Leisure Centre offers a comprehensive programme of swimming lessons based on the National Plan for Swimming Teaching which has been developed by the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) to provide a national standard for swimming  programmes.

These awards aim to raise the national standards of lesson quality whilst continuing to increase water confidence, continuous assessment and effective stroke technique.

Courses generally run within Brighton and Hove City Council term times and tend to be of approximately 12 weeks in duration.

To supplement these weekly courses the centre also offers crash courses during school holidays, specialist courses and individual lessons.  Specific instructed sessions are also available for parents with children, and adults.

For further information please call King Alfred Leisure Centre on 01273 290290.
